Finally, the world will be set at right.
Fox Sports has announced that they will be broadcasting the BCS championship game, in 3D, at the upcoming CES trade show in January.
I don't really care about the 3D part, but I will be eternally indebted to Fox Sports for taking away what would have been one of the hardest decisions of my life. Watch the pinnacle game of college football or go to the pinnacle consumer technology trade show of the year? That's like choosing a favorite child or which arm I would rather have cut off.
This way I can satisfy my craving for all things tech and geek when we go to the Consumer Electronics Show, but I won't have to lie to my friends about why I missed the game. I just don't think my
football loving, chest pounding and bumping, popcorn throwing friends would really understand if I missed the game to go look at the latest technology in
laptops,
TVs and
cell phones. But if I tell them the only reason I'm going to Vegas is to watch the game in 3D, I should be able to keep the whole geek thing under wraps.
So look for the latest tech news from some very happy writers when we head to CES in January. Just don't expect much from me on Jan. 8. I'll be the one shouting and throwing popcorn around the 3D TV booth.
